As of lately we've seen the need to expand our staff with a few NPC writers.

These writers' job would be to:
- Write Non-Playable Characters data files
- Write quests and missions

The writers will not obtain full access to the development process of Phobos, but will be provided with the necessary information needed to do their job. The writers may however obtain the position as a full member of Myth Entertainment when the staff feels comfortable with them.

To become a writer you need to:
- Write fluent English
- Be familiar with the XML data structure

All applications must be sent to jobs@mythentertainment.com.
Approved applicants will be invited to an MSN-interview with at least one senior staff member before being recruited.

Your sincerely,
Myth Entertainment

I always thought "NPC" stood for "Non-player-character".

XML is a easy way to store and collect data...or that's atleast how I've had it told to me, I don't know if you are able to do other stuff with it, as from what I've figured it's just plain text and a upgrade from .txt storage realy.

Code: Select all

Is a example I did for a C# lesson I had that just wanted to read/write some stuff into a .xml file.
I just had a hour to learn and try it out in school so I'm not that advanced and I guess you might want people that know more than just you learn after a hour on W3schools.
But it's on my "To Do" list to learn XML after I finnished with HTML/CSS/Java as it is a huge advantage knowing if you are aiming to work with something IT related. Well it's good to know even if you aren't.

Pity I feel like I have a bit much in school atm, would have been intressted in trying my luck otherwise.
Good luck to anyone who decides to try out, and may your keystrokes aim true and your files compile without error so we can explore a new world.

Kind regards, Faw~

We are searching for writers in the sense of scripting, not the actual dialogue.

Oh damn. I can code a npc in most programming languages (Like C#, Python and several more) but I don't have that super advanced knowledge when it comes to xml. daamn.
