From today off only the Blackboard, the Common Room, the Counter, the Artists' Corner and the Supporter Boards will be left open. The rest of the forum will be closed and hidden.

We will also start sending out newsletters to everyone who wish to stay up-to-date with Phobos. To receive these newsletters you must be a part of the "Newsletter"-group. If you are unsure how to do this, follow these steps:
  • Enter your User Control Panel (on the top menu)
  • Click on "Usergroups" (nearly at the bottom of your Options menu)
  • Select the group "Newsletter"
  • Choose "Join selected" on the drop down menu at the bottom.
  • Click "Submit"

You will still need to join the group, despite having received the previous mails. We've altered the way our newsletter works ;)

Good for the newsletter, but is the forum-hiding a stepback? Or how should I interpret this :O

It's a step forward, we're able to focus more on the developing rather than responding on forums threads.

Aye, but could one not just get one of the favored community attendees to watch over the Off-Topic board to keep it up so you all can focus on the game?

We'd still need to monitor that moderators job anyways, so still time wasted. But be assured that we'll keep it in mind :)

For starters it's not like there was any significant time wasted on "responding on forum threads". Saying that is just stupid since this forum is almost dead anyway.

In addition to that there is no progress with the game at all. I mean NONE at all.

I won't say that they haven't done work, but I would like another teaser! Those are always a great thing. :)

You say you would have to monitor the moderator, is that because of not being able to 100% trust their ways or just to make sure they do it right? Either way they both could be handled by a retired staff member that is just a community citizen could it not? That would solve trust issues and I'm sure they know how to work the forums and follow the rules.

I apologize if I'm being annoying about this... I just really would like to see the Off-topic board stay so I'm trying to think of ways to poke and prod you all to keep it up.

And what do you bias this statement on?
