We hired 2 Japanese guys from Sony Entertainment, they work for us while they continue their development on the PS3.

They charge an annual fee of $150/hr PER feature request.

So...what happens if the unfortunate event that Zero dies happens? do we stand there with our beards in the mailbox?

Zero isn't invincible? ;<

Imo Seraphs idea was best... 4 hours day time and 2 hours night time.

Well with 4 hours of daytime and 2 hours of night time, that's only a 6 hour day.

To even it up, I think (if we went with that idea), we would need to increase the time of how long an "hour" is.

I think 1 ingame hour should be 120 minutes.

120 * 6 = 720 minutes in 1 Phobos day
720 / 60 = 12 hours in 1 Phobos day

Daytime
120 * 4 = 480 minutes (8 hours our time)

Night time
120 * 2 = 240 minutes (4 hours our time)

Now we have a 12 hour (very efficient) day in Phobos!

Efficient because we can get 2 Phobos days in 1 real day :twisted:

problem is players who play each day only from 8 to 10 PM or something.. they will always walk in night.

Hum... So, 30 minutes daytime without sleaping NPC, 12h daytime with sleaping NPC or something else that'd let 'evening players' play at daytime.

Maby all day daytime? xD

I love this idea.
Perhaps at nights some richer shopkeepers could have gnomes or other night-time creatures do the selling ? ;)

I also think that 4/2 is the best idea, neither too short nor too long ;]

If we went on with that, day/night could also influence other things (worse sight unless you got special skills or be it dependant on race... werewolves and so on... you could come up with many nice ideas ;])

Also day/night spawning creatures could be nice ;P For example at night some more Dwarvish Guards could spawn in Dwarven city.

It's a great idea. I would like to see the NPCs more lively. For example when talking and greeting but specially when answering. It would be great to talk to NPCs and feel like you're talking to Siri, for example ask NPC about the latest news in town, gossiping about other NPCs or players in the same guild or family.

For example, if you use certain key words the NPC would answer smartly like of you ask him "Have you seen my wife?" He could answer something like "Yeah, she came by last night and bought a potion". Or small-talking like "Did you watch the meteor shower last night?" he would answer "The meteor shower was amazing! I was on the top of the roof", or "what do you want for Christmas?" answer like "I would love a golden shield, its really neat"
