Post Further developement of the website
You've probably thought about this already, but I though I'd state my opinions on a few things, concerning the new website.

Firstly, I have to start with saying "WOW!"
I don't have words to describe how good it looks!

Now to my proposals!

Quote:
Having a dropdown menu on each of the menu items is a great addition I'm sure you'll add. However, you should make it "drop" right, not down.
||Community| > Highscores
......................> Char.Srch.
And so on.

...
Quote:
You should have the ability to list your skills on the lookup page as well, it could be toggled on the account management page, like the personal information. It shouldn't show the skills as default though.

...
Quote:
Community -> Search 'bug':
"Please enter the player's name you wish to find" would be better as
"Please enter the name of the player you wish to find".

Quote:
Community -> Main 'bugs':
"the high scores section" should be
"the highscores sections", because you used the word Highscores further down on the same page.

"On this section you will be able to search up any character in Phobos." should be
"In this section you are able to lookup any character in Phobos."

"You will be able to see all the basic things like the gender and level." is ment to be
"You are able to see all the basic things like the gender and level."?

"On this section you can see important information about the current game worlds." should be
"In this section you can see important information about the current game worlds."

That's the ones I found - no major bugs! :D

I'll finish off this thread by saying thank you to the entire TLM staff for their awesome work!

Hey Larzen,

Thanks for all the reports, it seems our staff members haven't picked these up in the short time we had to beta test the web page! I'll make sure to alert Jason to this thread, and he'll then consider all the reports further.

Another thanks,
Gecko

And I noticed that the Yin/Yan symbol that apeares when you upload a file needs to be looked at since the outer lines of it doens't fit into the background correct, thus creating a white boarder around the img.

In my eyes, that doesn't matter any. Both messages express the same things and are free of any mistakes.

True, but personally I think it's more professional to use the second... It's proposals, after all...

The other more obvious ones are "should be" while this says "would be better as"... It's my opinion though :P

I like the second one of these better, it just feels more right.

Thank you for your suggestions, all basic functionality was my goal.. nothing extra was really added.

I will be added multiple upgrades to the site within this week, if I get time to finish them.

Please continue to give feedback! :)

PS- The "bugs" you listed will fixed late tonight

I posted one in the News Forum:
- Rollovers for all buttons in main page are missing, except library and that under library.

I'm pretty sure they're there ;)

Hover over one long enough to download the image (if you have a slow connection, up to (or more) 2 seconds).

Post Re: Further developement of the website
Here is something else I'd propose, concerning character search.

As you may know from Tibia you have to type in the character's full name when searching him... meaning if you type in "Nemo" you won't get to player "Nemo Abadaba".

I'd propose something like a keyword search where when typing in "Nemo" all characters are listed up like the following:

1st: The Player called Nemo (keyword fitting most)
2nd: Players starting with Nemo (like Nemo'lol or Nemobon or Nemo Han, orderer alphabetically of course)
3rd: Players where the part Nemo is found within the name (like Hanemogan, of course ordered alphabetically).

That makes the searching for players a lot easier :) The word searched for should be highlighted always, btw ^^

Right now it doesn't search for anything to the left of the search query, only the right..

NemoBlaBla would be found, but not BlaBlaNemo see?

I really like your idea.. I will develop it now, ok? :yes:

Good you said that, since I was on the brink on telling him that you already are able to search by keywords :oops: , but that was becouse I "always" remember the first part of the name, and never realy searched for anything else, but I can't say I did that much searching.
