- External Links
So, lately I have been experiencing the problem that if someone includes in his post an image that is wider than the forum layout the layout will be messed up completely, which is awful, it doesn't look good at all. As I am not the only one suffering from that problem I thought about a solution. I realized quickly that there are 2 possibilities:
1. You re-introduce the old code system again, that gave the poster the possibility to decide upon the image's size through this code
Code: Select all
(or something like this, I can't remember)
I guess that as soon as you plan to release Phobos you will want to limit the people's possibilities in the forum, so people don't post links to external hacking sites for example.
For the case of those external sites I thought that people still should be able to post no matter what link, however if the link does not begin with http://www.mythentertainment.com/ or http://www.phobosonline.com/ or the url of a supported website that was proven harmless the link will be hidden behind a certain image, warning the user [example: ]. Holding the mouse over the image will reveal the link [configurable through html-code by the "title"-attribute], clicking on it will redirect the player (in a new window) to a page asking
Clicking on "Continue to external website" or on [link] will load the link in the same window. Clicking on "Cancel" will close the window.Link_Page wrote: Do you really want to visit [link]? Please note that looking at external websites may harm your computer and put your personal data in danger. Don't follow the link if you suspect it of being harmful.
[ Button: Continue to external website ] [ Button: Cancel ]
That is my idea. I am still thinking about a solution for the case when somebody wraps the -tags around an [img]-tag. ... hree posts of this thread again. Still hoping for this one
Phobos-Icon as favicon (small icon next to the page-url in your adress-bar) please!!!111oneoneone
Ok, the last two proposals were old and short, but still... you get the point
Comments please If possible on each of the points.
