Post "class level" and promoting proposal
my proposal is about the classes and being able to advance within the class.
when you join a class you join to a guild (the seven knives, the silver hand) from what i've understood.
my proposal is that you can do missions for that guild these missions give you class levels and when you get a certain class level you advance in rank within your guild, this rank you've got is your class
example: you join the seven knives, when your in there you are a scout.
you can ask the guild leader (kirstin) for missions when you complete a mission you gain class exp, and with enough class exp you gain a class lvl
when you reach class lvl 10 kirstin will tell you you've done a good job and wil promote you to ranger(?) your rank within the guild is now ranger and you class also promoted to ranger.
i hope you understand what i mean because i, myself find it a nice idea xD

with guild i dont mean a guild with online players but a class guild with NPCs etc.

edit: and maybe make certain outfits only available to certain classes so you wont see a fully armored apprentice or a page in a robe or something, of course there should also be the standard outfits for all classes.

edit2: maybe if it isnt too much; add that you can choose which type of mission you do, so as an apprentice you can do the healing side(priest?) or the damage side(warlock?), the scout can do distance side(archer?) or dagger/DPS(assassin/rogue?) side or a page the tank(Guard?) or the berserker(Brigand?) side for the class variation.

I actually like that idea. Class exp and ordinary exp.

Good idea! Signed!

Looks good  maybe a page would have to do quests for the apprentice guild to get some magic and stuff and others like that or something :)

Kinda like TES: Morrowind how you move up the guilds ranks, a form of hierarchical ladder if you will, after completing quests quests AND meeting skill requirements for the guild's primary class.

I find it really useful, it would bring more excitement to classes

Perhaps it is already thought.. if not, I sign this proposal :D

I must say that I dislike this proposal. I believe they already have an idea on how to evolve sub-classes, why do you think they have so few classes to choose from?

..and I would truly hate the idea of more caps, it's enough with the level cap.

I really see this as moving up a rank in a guild that values your particular class skills rather than a 'sub-class'.

@Up: Exactly like I said earlier. Smells like the TES series to me!
But I definitely love the idea. It makes you feel more immersed in the game and that the NPCs are actual people with real jobs, ranks and aspirations, not just pre-coded puppets.

Would be good for people that aren't too fond of the social aspect and responsibilities of a real guild.

I remember how cool doing quests for your guild in morrowind was and I'd love to see those in phobos. 8)

I got both Oblivion GoTY and Morrowind GoTY (torrents FTW!) but I still prefer Morrowind...

You could always go to the TES wiki if you wish to read more about the way the game functions for future ideas or what not.
