What about a public chat feature on the forum? Or maybe a whole topic/board to chat about anything (not counting posts). Probably we will end up just discussing about random Phobos subjects. The forum would become more active and enjoyable. I am tired of spamming F5 the whole day of excitement and all that is left are Autran's posts (haha).

It would be good, yes.

And what's with Autran's posts? You are posting as much as him is :P

Well, from what I can tell from the Facebook group, which was supposed to work as a chat initiated by players, this would work for a few days and then be used very sparsely. Don't get me wrong, I think community interaction outside of Phobos is great and needed for strengthening the community on a more personal level (where chat topics are not just about Phobos), but right now, I don't feel it's necessary for aforementioned reasons.

The offtopic board became a mess of silly forum games, and no real discussion were had there. There was even an IRC and Ventrilo server up at one point, neither of which ended up being used much.

Isn't that what the internet is for?
