Every piece of eq requires 3 frames per animation in 4 directions, that's 12 sprites per eq. We have well over 100 eq pieces (not counting weapons), that's 1200 new sprites we would have to make.
Weapons is even more annoying to make considering you have to change them so much when the character is moving and they get so much smaller on the character than in the original image. I love you now Tim :3

You don't have to, just knowing that on occasion you make them is pleasing. Maybe in a future patch of phobos we will be able to see gear. I'd love that. Doesn't need to be immediate. Of course, we should have the option to turn it off for PvP reasons!

Rob wrote: We gave you the So, what's left? teaser 9 days after this teaser. The next teaser will be later in August. There probably won't be anything about outfits in the next one, but seeing as quite a few people have been asking for it, perhaps in the one after... We only got a few days left. C'mon

Awesome ideia! Immersion. Consequences. With so much to lose, I don't think we'll let cities fall anytime soon. That is most likely to happen when or IF you guys from the Staff let the Dynamic World feature turn in to a pain in the ass, (i.e after the community gets used to defend the cities and the very same thing happens after a city is defended) Perhaps if the Gods reward us with minor buffs for 1-2 weeks after succesfully defending a city is attractive enough Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to set foot on your world! Regards,

I really like the idea but I'm not so sure about player's houses being destroyed... you could have invested a lot of cash and time into them and if you're not physically strong enough to defend it, it kind of limits how you want to play and forces you to create a powerful character rather than a rich one

Re: Teaser - The Dynamic World
Love it! But yeah, It's not good to have things destroyed forever, you should definitely add a way to bring them back. What about newer players who couldn't see the things of old or players who gave away all they had to defend against an invasion but got no support from their fellows? That's going to be demoralizing.

Well, i dunno.. I kinda like the idea of cities getting demolished,my opinion on this is that it creates a intense role-playing feeling But still, i get what you mean aswell, if you spend millions & millions on something which gets destroyed cause of you not being strong enough &/or if you get left for dead by your comrades. Good argument... Good argument indeed!

Re: Teaser - The Dynamic World
The world changes around you all the time, why shouldn't it be the same in-game? Buildings burn and get rebuilt slightly different, civilisations rise and fall, cities burn and are re-built, or left in ashes and will slowly be overtaken by nature. That's life.
If you started the game at a later point, you'll just have to look at other player's screenshots and see how it was before.

Re: Teaser - The Dynamic World
It's a good idea, maybe adding a secret passage between buildings when the city is demolished would be interesting too. Maybe when the city is in ruins, put a tunnel between a shop and a lower level nearby dungeon, or in a dwell when it dries you can pick up a rare item.
