The Inn and Hostel ideas are just amazing, being able to persuade the NPCs, that's out of this world.
The Merchant Houses idea are really good too. Being able to hire a NPC? Genius!!!

You guys are putting some really good effort on making this game perfect, huh? It's nice to see!

probably because the players vain sell items cheaper than the npcs
npcs become obsolete

(my english is really bad)
What did you mean, Munzder? PM me in portuguese and i'll translate for you haha

Interesting teaser, you underlined all the important aspects and came up with reasonable ideas. I'm curious how "Noble account" thing will look like. Maybe this should be the spotlight of next teaser. Anyways, good to read some fresh stuff and I'm looking forward for some more :like:

I think one week is a good reasonable time, indeed.

Imagine that someone plays only on sundays and try busing a house, and you make an offer over his house at monday. So, he loses the house and there's nothing he can do about that, because he had no time...

Yeah, 7 days sounds just fine to me!

What happens when someone outbids you when there is f.e. 2 hours of auction left? Is it gonna reset to 1 day or something?

Only those who have had a leading bid during the first 6 days may bid the last 24 hours. The auction, however, will not be extended if a bid is made during these last hours. Bidding is thus allowed up untill the last minute.

Could you explain the "only those who have had a leading bid during the first 6 days may bid the last 24 hours" better, Torbjørn?

I mean, what or who will decide those with the leading bids?

I assume 'leading bid' is the same thing as having the highest bid.

I bid 100gp, Highest bid
You bid 200gp, You now have the highest bid

I believe it's not that, because he clearly mention "those who have had".

Anyways, if it's the one with the highest bid like you say, then the auction would last in practice, 6 days only. Because, if he already has the highest bid and is the only one who can bid for the last 24 hours, then why would he bid more than his (already the highest) last bid?

And also, he says "bidding is thus allowed up until the last minute", so, if only the one with the highest bid had the authority to bid in the last 24hours, that affirmative in untrue.

What i want to know is what are the criteria to define who have had the leading bid? The two or three highest? The last ones to bid?

It's everybody who has had a leading bid at any time during the auction. For example:

Player 1 starts bidding at 100 cc (at this time, Player 1 has the highest bid).
Player 2 bids 200 cc (at this time, Player 2 has the highest bid).
Player 1 bids 300 cc (at this time, Player 1 has the highest bid).

If no other players enter the auction in the first 6 days, then only player 1 and player 2 are able to bid within the last 24 hours. Basically: nobody new can enter an auction in the last 24 hours.

Alright, now I understand, thank you very much :D

Also, a new doubt came just right now... Will it be a minimum value for the bids?

Yes. The minimum bid, as with the rent itself can fluctuate depending on the market. But to begin with the minimum bid will be 50% of the rent (if the rent for the flat is 1000 copper coins per month, the minimum bid would be 500 copper coins).

Sounds great! Gotta be prepared for some intense auction battles and better to have some spare cash for last minutes, just in case.
