I'm almost full-translating this.. I will edit when it is ready XD

EDIT:
Done. :D
edit: ...removed for good...
Very nice Tobjorn, that language has some tricks but I could figure out.. Very cool one :) If I pratice a little more I can almost read it naturally now haha

PS.: Why did you only used "th" in that separated form only in the first "the" and all the others "the" you used that other symbol ?! I'm curious...

Elder Futhark is so fun.

EDIT

@Sir Vitor

The symbol he uses for the "th" sound is actually an existing rune on the Elder Futhark language.

@Topic

I'll be creating a dictionary for the dwarven runes asap.

EDIT 2

Just created the dictionary. It's still simple and badly formatted (mostly because I used MS Paint). As Torb kindly asked, I'll keep it to myself for now.

What I mean is... if you check the text, he says "the" using the actual letters T H , but he does it only once, the following words he uses that symbol to represent "th".. I wonder why

Adent is supposed to be advent. (There is no runic equivalent of 'v')
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advent

The 'th' is a mistake. Also missing an 'n' in desceNdants.

Merry Christmas! :D

I am very pleased to see your eager in cracking this, but out of respect for your fellow players, it would be nice of you to remove the translations for the time being :)

I'll comment a bit further on my diary tomorrow if you do the above!

Merry Christmas!

Would that include the dictionary I made? If so, let me know and I'll remove it for now.

Happy holidays everyone.

First of all, I'd like to apologise for a few errors I made in the text.
1) the first "th" should also has been written with a thorn.
2) I used thorn for all "th", even when I should have used eth..
3) The comma shouldn't be there.
4) Descendants missed an n.

On the note of Adent, that is actually the last month in the Emposian Calendar.

If you had fun working on this, do not worry, there will be more runes in use next time, when I will write in dwarvish!

Hopefully there'll be something like this in the game quests, but of course with in-game books required to translate and not google ^_^

There will be in-game books written in dwarvish, yes. At the release? Not quite sure yet.

If it won't be at the release then what was this about? About in game npcs researching that stuff? I mean no disrespect, it was a good read and there's plenty of potential for quests and plotlines based on unknown mysteries of the dwarven but if books written in this language itself won't be present then there's not much new information in this teaser since this alphabet or similars have been in use a lot already, as mentioned.

Who said the language isn't in use already? Books aren't the only means of transmitting a language.
