I know the original idea is to not have minimap so the game is more hardcore but in my opinion it is what makes the game not so enjoyable.
It is REALLY hard to remember what path you took to get where you are. A lot of times I have to kill myself so I can go back to the city because I don`t know how to leave the cave. If I have to go back walking I lose A LOT of time because I never get the right way the first time AND it is also very boring to go back manually, you lose sometimes half an hour just walking when you could have clicked in the minimap and your character would do the trajetory automatically.

Am I the only one with this problem?

The only thing that bothers me is not having map-click walking. But the long walks will be fixed when they add the boat.
Other than that, the lack of the minimap is rather a great feature of Phobos. It makes the experience more interesting and more challenging. I believe most of the players actually enjoy it, and the staff will probably never add one.

Indeed, I'm of the same mind as Vitor. I enjoy the fact that there is no minimap, and although having to walk long distances is a pain, that will eventually be solved when boats are enabled. The walk is good for you anyway, helps to actually learn where things are.

I'm just gonna come out and say it because someone has to. It's extremely autistic to have no mini-map yet.
Just try go explore in real life if you can only see 5 meters and tell everyone that is not blind he has to do it too.
Oh and should i mention that most players these days are not that hardcore, and for sure not at this autistic level.. to learn the map alone would take really long and most players will quit/take breaks before they even know 10% of the map.. Feel free to try motivate people to come back after a long break, remembering 2% paths. Sure the autistic exploring can be fun for alittle while but for godamn certain i should not have to even type that this is a godamn retarded idea.
Thanks in advance

As we have said before, an in-game map is something that we intend to add. But there are other things that we consider higher priority right now.

We're not 100% decided on exactly how this would look though, so feel free to discuss that. It probably wouldn't provide a huge level of detail for the player. We don't intend for it to be like minimaps in similar games, for instance, where one in-game tile is displayed as a single square on the map.

An idea is having maps similar to how it works in WoW. We could have an artistic or approximate map for each area, places, dungeons, cities. Then you could only have the map and not have the "GPS" as the indication of where the player is standing.

Example of dungeon map:

For better public acceptance it is important to have the minimap, because those who do not wish to use the minimap just hide it.
Because most players use this feature to optimize game time for adventures. Being a facilitator in discovering stories and helping the player to return in a timely manner.
For example, a quest done without the minimap would take around 3 hours excluding the return time to a safe place and using it would take 1 hour. May be an artifact conquered by players.

I definetly dont want a cipsoft-tibia style map where you can see every sqm.

A rough fantasy style map just as the one u already released for the whole erasan would be nice, but just for every area/corner of the erasan world, for example south erasan, east erasan etc.

Make it look just like a real ancient pergament map, maybe with some creature drawings and mainly using pale colors (it would fit the main phobos mapping/spriting style which is very pale and looks somehow calm and silent).
