I had similar thing in mind as chaos

Armor could have like +20 arm and +0-5 magic armor.
Weapon could have 44 attack + 0-5% hit chance.

etc

More powerfull the item, more rare it gets.

I guess some additional skills for strongest monsters would be nice.

For example throwing stones for Trolls.
Critical strikes for Hill giants.
Slow effect for Archenaids etc

From my perspective as a Ranger it looks like this:

Ranger advances slower than Marksman in distance (propably throwing and fireweapon aswell).
Advances fast in Nature and Support.
Bit slower in Destruction and Protection.

I see two flaws on this system: Its not so good idea for classes dependant on mana flasks like mages or ranger (like me) when you are high lvl ~45-50. You have to hunt hard monsters to gain exp. In order to hunt them you have to spend cash on flasks. You cant get cash for mana potions while hunting ...

Dunno if those changes were made or not but for a first sight the problem was not solved.

However I didnt hunt many different monsters yet so feedback from other range players would be nice.

I just assumed the fault is within the formula that takes many indicators equally (?) into consideration thus giving less feel of rapid progress in damage. I am referring not only to range comat (ranger lvl 36, crossbow, archery 50, dex 79) but also to magical abilities as: pebble missile, fire fist...

Its great to hear it but I think other skills need some kind of similar boost. There is no real difference in dmg output even after many advances.

For me (crossbow user) those hits are very high and I have 27 dex and 15 skill more
